I gave this 4 stars. I LOVE THE TOILET - BUT..it came in 2 boxes. Did not recieve the bottom half, Amazon did get it to me quickly but it came broken. So returned the whole thing and decided, because the contractor was here, to purchase it at Lowes. It was $50 less. The hardest thing to install was the seat. Something I didn't consider when purchasing it, what is a new seat going to cost..It is quite involved for a toilet seat. But love the streamline look and the ease of cleaning the sides.

I bought this toilet for it's sleek style. I did not want to clean around mounting bolts and a curvy tramway. This toilet is simple to clean and mounts close to the wall. It amazingly flushes with very little water and I've never had to double flush it. The tank is smaller than you might expect but that fits well in my bathroom.
Note: The top arrived broken so I went on line to find a replacement. I contacted American Standard directly and they sent me a replacement, free of charge, promptly and with no questions. When I advised them that I'd bought it through Amazon, they said that this was not an issue and cheerfully agreed to replace it. This is what good old American customer service. I will buy American Standard again in the future.

I've had this brand of toilet for about a year. The rest of my bathroom toilets are vintage. This toilet works every time and the first time; the flush is powerful enough to do the job.. A friend installed it and he had a little trouble but I provided other reviewer's comments and instructions and it wasn't bad he said. One of the key features for me is that the water level is above the drop zone; I read reviews of other toilets prior to purchasing and that was one of the complaints and a reason for me not to purchase those toilets. I am sure there are other reviews of this toilet that are technical for those wanting that information. But from a woman's perspective it does what it is suppose to the first time, and it is very easy to keep clean. I'll be replacing my other toilets with this model and this brand.

And it really works. Replaced the oldest toilet of three in the house, and the new WaterSense standards give a better flush with less water. What was taking 3-4 flushes is now gone in one. (Water rates are expensive here, so I expect that will make a big difference.) Love the modern look of the concealed trapway, always annoying to clean. (The main reason I got this model.) Professional plumbers complained and cursed installing it, but... geez. They may have had to be a little more careful, but they only had to do it once. And I'm the one who has to like it.
