I bought these to use as a hair accessory. I have long hair and a sensitive scalp, so most claw clips and other similar types of barrettes hurt and give me headaches. When I want to wear my hair up, this is an issue. I have used chopsticks for this purpose in the past, and they work well.
I have no idea as how these function as eating utensils and my review is based solely on their function as hair accessories.
These are pretty and do the job. They are however, quite long and that can be a problem at times. I am looking into purchasing a similar, if not identical, product that is shorter.

great travel set for chopsticks (and SS straws)

I wanted the box to put my Stainless steel straws in, the 8 1/2 inch long straws fit great and I can even get in a brush. I currently have the 2 chopsticks, a smoothie SS straw and brush in the box. The Bamboo box and chop sticks are well made. The chopsticks are a little longer then 8 1/2 inches, tips and ends are painted with red paint, I poked at the red paint with my finger nail and nothing came off. The bamboo box has a sliding lid with a notch at one end so you can open it with ease. I have shook the box and the lid does not move, I feel safe that I can carry it in my purse and the lid won't come off. I don't eat with chopsticks, but I do use them to put up my hair when I get hot and these are perfect for that. I am very happy with my purchase.

These are adorable, but you need to soak them in some soap and water first. I only rinsed them off and got a weird chemical taste when I first used them. I think it may have been some left over residue from the shiny coating they put on it. After soaking them for a while, I haven't had that problem again.

Very pretty chopstick set in a nice case. I ordered a set for my kid as well as my girlfriend and both loved these chopsticks. They are very tapered (much more Japanese style than Chinese) to a sharp point but don't feel flimsy. I haven't heard any complaints about the finish after repeated hand washings.
As decorative as they are functional, this is just a pretty set of chopsticks that will look classy on your table.

I bought these to use as hair sticks because I'm required to wear my hair "up" at work and I wanted some colorful options. Oddly, though, the white pair is my favorite, although the others are beautiful. You can't go wrong for the price.
