Please don't sell this as T-fal Copper set.

Real Copper does not wash away.
T-fal brand name going down the drain on this one.

I have owned a lot of cookware and did a lot of research before purchasing this product. If you do not care about using your pots and pans in the oven, this is the best non stick cookware you are going to find under the $700 price point and maybe even at all. This is NOT normal T-Fal cookware, the coating is COMPLETELY different and much more hard. I have owned a few T-Fal Ultimate products for over 7 years and have used metal on them many times, they still look and act brand new.

If you are looking for a premiere set of cookware that isn't for oven cooking, look no further.

Pros:

The T-fal pots/pans cook food evenly and are truly nonstick. There is virtually no scrubbing needed when washing. Warm water and the sink sprayer was enough to remove remnants of mashed potatoes that had set for a few hours. For demonstration, I cooked 2 scrambled eggs without any fat or non-stick spray and they turned out perfectly scrambled without sticking and any residue simply rinsed out.

Cons:
"¢ Glass lid/covers are troublesome to clean
"¢ Fry pans in the 12 piece set do not have lids (frying pans with lids may be purchased separately)

This may be a deal breaker for some. There is a space between where the metal rim and the glass meet that allows liquid & food to accumulate so cleaning & drying them takes a little extra work. Also, none of the lids in the set can be "borrowed" to use with the frying pans, they're either too small or too big.

This is the first time I've used T-fal. Just to compare, I own a few pieces of the pricey Swiss Diamond cookware and previously bought the budget friendly Circulon. While these T-fal pans are certainly not equal in the quality & construction of the Swiss Diamond, the nonstick quality is just as good if not better. As for the Circulon, oil was needed or food would stick to the circular grooves and the coating began to flake off within months of use and I tossed them out after a year.

Things to know from the product handbook: These are touted as dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended by manufacturer. Be aware that they will not be covered under warranty if they're washed in the dishwasher. If you decide to wash in the dishwasher, use of concentrated dishwasher detergent pods/packs should be avoided because it will ruin the nonstick coating. Nonstick spray like Pam is forbidden because it leaves an invisible film that degrades the nonstick coating of the pan and heat levels shouldn't exceed medium-high. That's a lot of disclaimers but this is typical with most if not all brands of nonstick cookware.

Overall the positive points of this T-fal cookware set outweigh the fact that I don't care for the lids and I'm pleased with the quality especially at this price point. If you're looking for decent cookware in the mid price range then I think this is a worthy set.

I bought these in 2012 (today it's 2017). I used to have a gas stove that scratched the bottom off. The pictures show the smallest and largest skillet, and the sauce pot. They have been rarely seasoned, dishwasher every other day, regularly used on high heat, and I use metal utensils.

The inside coating is like new, except for the largest skillet. I can still fry an egg and have it slide out, but high temp stuff like chicken will stick a bit.

My biggest complaint is that the handles on some of the pans are slightly loosened. They are rivited they get loose over time and there is no way to fix them.

I could never really figure out the pre-heated signal, but otherwise, this set was perfect for our apartment of 3. The variety of pots / pans was perfect and we didn't have any useless pieces which tends to happen in other 12-piece combinations. We used these daily for over a year and they held up really well. I ended up selling them when I moved, but otherwise would have happily used them for much longer. The tops fit snugly and I loved that the handles were covered so you could pick them up without worrying.
