Mug is okay; the lid is too small

I give this a so so review because this item was promoted along with a Travis 16 oz. lid when, in fact, the lid DOES NOT fit this product. The mug itself is okay, but this item is plastic and is put together with glue. Over time, this product will deteriorate and separate at the seams. This has happened with another product by this company, which was always and strictly washed by hand with warm water. I do not appreciate receiving a lid that is way too small to fit on the mug. For me, purchasing this product was all about it having a handle, a feature I have not been able to find at a local retail store.

Great mug. Performs as advertised. Good for seniors and folks with arthritis who tend to drop things. Particularly those of us who have arthritis in their hands. Although made of a type of plastic that is microwaveable and dish washer safe, the mug feels closer to a glass mug in terms of heft. The only drawback is that, as other reviewers have indicated, the actual capacity is on the small side. If you really don't need a large mug then it won't be a problem.
NOTE TO TERVIS: make a version that is slightly larger... 18 oz. or even larger. I would buy one that is as large as 24 oz. Given the coffee craze that has developed over the last decade, a lot of folks want really large mugs to hold the ocean of coffee that they consume daily. I think that it would sell very well. There's not much competition in solid, large, unbreakable, microwaveable, insulated coffee mugs WITH handles. It's an untapped market. I discovered the Tervis mug after searching for such an item. Most others are just travel mugs with no handles that weren't microwaveable, etc.

What more can you say about Tervis containers which keep hot hot and cold cold without sweating on the outside. They are worth the price. The only reason this tumbler did not receive five stars is the fact that it is advertised as 16 oz but for whatever reason it holds barely 12-13 oz. I purchased it to fit 12 oz of coffee (2 keurig six oz cups) and an ounce of half n half and it goes all the way to the top so I still risk spilling-but I will keep it and add it to my collection of 12 oz cups and still keep looking for the perfect 16 oz cup that fits in a small Keuriga
My long search for a good coffee tumbler is over

I have tried and been unsatisfied with more expensive ceramic or metal mugs made by people like Starbucks. Those mugs were often breakable ceramic, or didn't insulate well. Many had rubber gaskets that could get lost or wear out; were not dishwasher safe; had rubber seals that retained odors, and/or had complicated lids that were hard to keep clean. This is a really simple design with a snap on lid that is easy to keep clean and odor-free. It insulates pretty well. I think it would be hard to break it. It goes in the dishwasher. And it is reasonably priced. I have two, one for home, and one for work. Note it is not a travel mug. For that, I would recommend the Contigo.

I think I may have reviewed these before, but I am obsessed. I'm addicted to ice water, and I would break my insulated cups every few months, UNTIL I FOUND THESE. These I've only broken ONE of the 6 I own (still works but since I split the top it now 'sweats', and I also lost one) and I broke a couple lids. Well not the lid, but the little 'notches' in the lip broke thus making the lid leak. And that was like 2 years ago! I would have spent $130 at Starbucks by now! They are cheaper than the fancy Starbucks ones and LAST SO SO SO MUCH LONGER! I. Just. Adore. These.
