basically as if you added some dashes of Tabasco (er... Texas Pete's) to a jar of plain pickled vegetables.

I'm not from Texas, so was intrigued but not really quite sure what to expect.

I'm glad some of the other reviewers had mentioned how these are good and crunchy, not soft - I am familiar with how the texture of okra can be.

these are definitely crunchy, middle/seeds a bit soft, but not in a way to remind me of slimy okra.

the pickling liquid seems very basic - basically vinegar+sugar - aside from the hot-sauce flavor, not much in the way of herbs or spices. glad I did not order the plain version.

the stalk/stem end is a bit fibrous, not surprising. but luckily not in enough of a way to make it tough chewing, doesn't get stuck in your teeth etc.

not sure how I would feel about buying these again, but I'm glad I at least tried them. and who knows, after getting through 6 jars, maybe I'll feel more inclined!

I for one really like pickled okra. That being said, I have tried different varieties from sellers all over the place.

I have purchased jars from this seller six times now!!

If that doesn't tell you that these are freakin delicious, nothing will! Seriously the single best pickled okra I've ever had in my life. It's so hard to not eat the entire jar as soon as I open it!

Best on the market, the " Hot" isn't too hot, just right!
Fruit is of the perfect size, not too big and " spiney".
Picked at perfect time/size.

Loved the flavor and even though I live in Texas, it is getting very hard to find.

I thought I had already reviewed this but, oh well.....I love this brand. I have had them before and they are delicious. Crisp and just enough heat. Good thing I bought a box of 6. They don't last after the jar is opened! Delivery was early and they were well-packed.
