LOUD ALERT !!! I Never Knew a Fan could be THIS LOUD ! Just Received this Fan,placed it in the Living Room and Turned it On.......it immediately sounds as if your Neighbor is Outside Your House Cutting the Grass with a Lawn Mower,or Using a Gas Powered Leaf Blower....and This is on "Low Speed", and on High Speed...... Good luck Trying to Watch a Movie as it Totally Drowns Out the TV Volume. The Reality is that This Fan is Operating "Exactly as Designed".... 1) it has SIX fan Blades, ( Not the Typical Three ), And... 2) it has Sharply Pitched Louvers that Actually Rotate around and around instead of the fan itself Oscillating, Both Combine for a Loud "Rush of Air" when Operating. I Moved this Fan out to My Garage/Workshop, and would NEVER Recommend this for a Living Room or Bedroom !! The Fan I "Really Want" is the ( Ozeri Brezza III ).... Unfortunately it wont be Available until May 23rd... I will Order on That Day .... "Knowledge is Power" ! Your Friend, James.

If you want white noise-- this is the fan for you. Even the quietest/lowest setting is similar to sleeping next to a small jet engine. The choice in speeds and other options are great. It even has a remote! I don't like that it beeps whenever you turn it off, on, or any other selection-- not great for a sleeping baby! The only reason I gave this 4 stars is that after 2-3 years our fans have each given up. We have had two die on us. Now to be fair- we run them about 12 hours a day (in our kids' rooms overnight) so they have to run a lot! For the lighter user this fan would likely hold up much longer. Also, if you are looking for a quiet fan-- keep on looking! If you are looking for a wonderful, yet noisy, soothing whir then this is the fan for you!
