My biggest issue and the reason this didnt get a higher rating were the fixed screwposts. The cover has about a 1/4 inch screw post that is FIXED. You CAN'T purchase new screw post based on your preferred size, the only option you have is to buy extensions. The smallest size extension sold by Ruby Paulina is 1/2 an inch (about $12 for 20).
So basically if you need something slightly bigger than the fixed size of 1/4, you're out of luck because the next step from 1/4 inch spine makes it 3/4 inch (with the 1/2 extension). This may not be an issue for others but having so much extra space in the spine makes my portfolio look less refined and clunky. Ideally for me (using 25 clear sleeves with 2 printed sheets in each) would have been a 1/2 inch spine not a 3/4.
Other things to take into consideration:
- About $30 cheaper than the similarly sold Pina Zangaro Screw Port portfolio
- Quality is pretty good
- The acrylic plastic of the cover/back is slightly transparent, so the first and last pages are somewhat visible.
- Manufacturer name and address printed in gold on the inside panel of the binder
