Successful science fair experiment

We had a very successful science fair experiment. I was concerned about the quality after reading other reviews (some people had received contaminated plates). Ours were all perfect. We stored in the fridge for a week (upside down) before starting the experiment.
Words of wisdom - we used a cooler with a hot water bottle as an incubator. After the first 24 hours, we also added an open jar with baking soda in it to absorb the smell.
Great product and it was worth the extra money to have the agar set in the plates rather than pouring our own. Thanks!

These worked great for science fair

These worked great for science fair! Kid won 4th place. We grew them in a clean hermit crab tank with the heater on and bought a small thermometer to maintain the temperature. They sprouted all kinds of cool stuff in a day or two. Apparently my kitchen sponge is teeming with life. Kids had so much fun collecting bacteria and viewing it under the microscope. It did smell pretty bad after a week or so. I'd order these again just for fun. One did arrive broken however.

I use these agar plates with my 8 year old son to experiment with bacteria growth on all the things I nag him about. It's hard for a child to understand why they should wash their hands before eating or touching food but these help bring it home. We love them.
I would definitely buy these again if we do another science project.

I purchased these for my son's science project. He put different kinds of cheese in each tray. They were perfect for containing mold growth. I labeled the outside of each tray with a Sharpie and took pics daily. This set comes with a good set of directions. Though for our purposes I wish we would have started the experiment a few days earlier than the directions recommended. It really is perfect for kids' science project and made my son feel more official or scientific. I would definitely buy these again if we do another science project.

Bought this my daughter at Christmas. She, at the moment, has a love for science and I hope to build on that. She has swabbed different areas around the house to see the bacteria growth. In my opinion, great tool for teaching what happens if you don't clean properly and the relationship we have with bacteria in good and bad ways.
I have contacted the company in requires to URL for the e-book. My daughter threw the paper with the URL away and didn't save it on her computer. I emailed them, and within thirty minute to an hour had a response from them with the URL.
