This is my second pair of swim briefs from Gary Majdell. I like the price, quality, and cut of the swimwear. The front is lined so that gives a bit more modesty. As far as sizing, I've found Gary Majdell's swimwear to run a bit small, so I order 1 size larger that what I normally wear with my underwear and it fits perfectly.

The thing about this material is that it's nylon & spandex, so it naturally hugs your body. If you try to wear a brief that's too tight, it won't be sexier. In fact, it will make you look heavier because it will squeeze your waist and give you a muffin top. So even though it sounds counterintuitive, ordering a slightly larger size makes me look slimmer and it's a more flattering cut than it would have been if I ordered my true size. Your mileage may vary, but that's what I've always found to be true with nylon swimwear, particularly this brand.

Edit: I removed one star because this material is advertised as "quick drying," but it takes hours to dry. My other swimwear repels water and seems to dry very quickly out of the pool. This one seems to absorb it. I still love the briefs and will buy more from this brand in the future, but I don't feel the "quick drying" claim is accurate.

First of all, the fit and comfort is great on this swimsuit. The average speedo, while great in the water, tends to compress your package and after several hours of wear, it can start to feel limiting. As I had started to like bikini style underwear instead of brief style underwear, I decided to try this swimsuit. I can say that it lives up to being comfortable, as it gives plenty of room for your package to stay out front.

That said, I'm not sure I like the look of it so much. The way the waistband looks up close makes me think too much of underwear and it does not have so much swimsuit styling. While it certainly dries quickly and functions like a swimsuit, it's not the best it could be. Also, the coverage in the back is just a bit too much. It's hard to describe, but it seems to go underneath and cup the bottom of my cheeks. It seems to cover slightly more than a typical speedo suite just in the back, and I would prefer not to so I don't get weird tanlines if I switch suits.

Also, the orange looks even brighter than in the picture. It's a bit of a shiny orange, so it looks out of place. I typically wear reds and blues, often bright, but somehow, this is brighter.

It doesn't have a drawstring, but it seems to stay on remarkably well with the elastic, while not feeling too tight.

It is, however, more revealing than I expected. The pouch, of course, sticks out. I was expecting this, and thought it would be worth the extra comfort. It is a bit more than you might expect though, and this could potentially limit the places where you would want to wear it, despite having modest coverage for a suit otherwise. Also, even with the lining, the slight view of my mushroom head is visible, even when dry. The liner is quite small and doesn't seem to fully do the job.

However, it may be worth it, as it is a great suit. I like to have a suit I can throw on for a full day at the lake and have great comfort, and in many ways, this seems to be it. If you are more modest, maybe go for a darker color.

Product fits great, flattering. Nice soft material, looks good, shows your assets perfect.

I like this product as ive enjoyed all my majdell products. The only reoccurring issue I'm having is how quickly the threading come undone. I tried these on and immediately noticed the threading was already coming undone from the seems. So as cute as they are, I won't be able to ever wear them out anywhere, which I hate. If threading issues get fixed with future products then I'd label this a top product! Just need more reliability / confidence they won't fall apart my first wear.

Ok, these are super nice. Went on a cruise with my wife and family to the Caribbean and wear the typical board shorts. Wife thought these looked super sexy, son was a little weired out but anyway. On 2 of our excursion wore these to the beach and it was so liberating and comfortable. I mean really it was nice, I'm 5'9" 185#, athletic build and have a pretty good body, the large fit perfect. I also tried size medium and while the fit was Ok, the large was more comfortable. They appear to be of high quality with good stitching, definitely not see through. Unfortunately , not sure I am daring enough to wear to the local pool, not sure why as they look great on me but the social norm in America is not there yet. If your considering some swim attire other then the board shorts that hand to your knees , give these a try, the Turquoise and the Royal blue look great !
