Best Rain Repellent Made!
TrialedAgain•March 21, 2017
Best windshield rain repellent made! Great deal here, too.
Wipe it on the windshield, spreading it as evenly as possible and let it dry on. Don't buff it off! That's what the directions say, but that is not the best method.
Lasts for about 2-3 months. I can see soo much better than other drivers in pouring rain! While they are put-putting along, I can just weave carefully through the blinded drivers and arrive safely without the stress that they endure.
Beats Rain-X by a mile! It took me 5 years of owning my new car before I ever changed a wiper blade... They are almost obsolete!

10 times better than RainX

10 times better than RainX. This lasts months and is easy to apply. I can get 2 windshields out of 1 applicator if I work fast.
Not as good as Rain-X overall...

Having used this product for a few months now, and Rain-X previously for years, I feel that I can provide a fair comparison. The Aquapel product is difficult to apply. Even before it dries, the Aquapel takes a LOT of vigorous buffing to achieve a clear result. Your arms will be work out after applying it to a normal-sized vehicle. Rain beads equally as well as Rain-X, but with Aquapel, it doesn't roll (or be blown) off the windshield nearly as well as Rain-X. I have used this on two vehicles, a car and a truck. With Rain-X, the rain would bead and fly off of the windshield at 25 and 40MPH, respective to the vehicle. With Aquapel, rain beads, but doesn't roll off until 50 and 70, and then it slowly rolls across the windshield. It's almost like the surface tension creates a "sticky" surface on the windshield, causing the water to roll much more slowly at speed. Because of this, I still have to use wipers, even at highway speeds, with Aquapel. With Rain-X, I can leave my wipers off at much slower speeds, and have a much clearer windshield than with Aquapel. Wiper smearing is equal with both products. The Aquapel is much more expensive initially, but lasts longer than Rain-X so in the long run, the costs are about the same for each product although more Rain-X applications over a given time will result in more labor. Given these findings, I will abandon Aquapel and return to Rain-X. Price being equal, but with Rain-X requiring more applications (more labor and time), it far more valuable to spend the extra time with Rain-X since the performance of it is so superior to Aquapel. If you've never used Rain-X, Aquapel is FAR better than nothing, but if you value product performance over all other factors, Aquapel comes up short. I truly wish that my results had been different.
Works well so far

I used Rain-X prior to this purchase and loved what it did for my windshield and windows but I hated the application process. Did some research on forums throughout the web and thought I'd give this product a try after seeing some positive reviews.
After applying Aquapel, I noticed that water did not roll off the windshield as 'easily' as it did when I had Rain-X. However, the application is much easier with this product and I don't have issues with glare like I did with Rain-X. As a matter of fact, the clarity through the windows and windshield is much better than I had ever seen - almost as if there is no glass. I guess that's the trade off? Maybe after a few more applications will I see better results but so far it's not bad.

If you're obsessed with your windshield you MUST buy this

Makes your windshield wipers work better and the rain just slides off the windshield at highway speeds. Rain-X is good, but this stuff is better. If you MUST have a clean wipe every time pair up some PIAA wipers, Aquapel every 3-6 months, and Rain-X anti-bug or anti-freeze depending on the weather and you'll wonder why how you ever drove without this stuff.
A number of reviews on this product complain about low speeds and wiper blade issues. PIAA silicone blades make a big difference. Even without rain repellent products good wiper blades can make a huge difference.
