This is a very useful tool to have in your first aid kit to cut gauze and tape. They cut nicely but are safe to use near the body to also cut stuff off if needed.

Excellent for the price; I am no first responder or even in the medical industry, but for occasional use (and potentially even regular use), this thing is more bang for the buck than I was expecting. Easily cut through a bunch of old T-shirts that I'd relegated to the "rag" pile; folded the material over on itself so it was maybe 4 to 6 layers...chewed right through it no issues. Probably not the best thing to do with it, but just for grins, I even cut through a penny! Ordering another one immediately to stash in my other car for emergencies!

These are super cheap and a great item to have in your first aid kit. My brother is in the army and has a deep sense of wanting to be a good samaritan all the time. So I bought him these to leave in his car if he ever stumbles upon an accident. Remember to call 911 and your ABCDE...airway, breathing, circulation, disability (neurological deficits) and environment/exposure. In order to see breathing, bleeding or any other injuries you often need to cut the clothing without moving the patient this is where the trauma shears come in...so cut away!

These are used over and over in our home. We were going to save them for emergencies, but have used them for many kitchen and in garden uses. Strong enough to cut heavy plastic, cardboard, and thick clothes. I like not having sharp points. I can put in any bag or pocket without getting poked. Sent granddaughter into get them and wasn't worried about her getting hurt. We will definitely consider this first when we need scissors again. Plans to get more pairs for our vehicles.
