I purchased this with the idea of cutting my own hair. Didn't work out for me, though. My hair looks much better if I pay someone else to cut it. Maybe if you have straight, long hair, and just want to cut the ends, it would work out for you. But, if you have layers, like I do, it's not as easy as they make it out to be. I'm sure some people are happy with this product. It's a good concept, but for me it just didn't work out. It's been sitting in my dresser drawer for years.

Super picky about my hair cuts and this was awesome. Allowed me to create the cut I wanted myself without being scared of cutting it unevenly! Love love love. Friend with the same level of particularity let me cut hers after I did my own and she loved the cut as well!

So I have been cutting my own hair (trimming ends) for a little over a year now. It really all comes down to the cost that these places charge you being so outrageous. I understand stylists/hairdressers need to make money, but spending over $20 to get an inch or two trimmed off my ends every month is just not affordable to most people. So I started cutting my own hair at home using the grooming shears I purchased to trim my dog's "grinch feet" and ears in-between grooming sessions. They're sharp and get the job done, so why not share them? lol Anyway, I have super curly hair so I usually cut my hair after a shower. I part it, and try to cut as evenly across as possible. I don't have to be perfect because when my hair dries it curls and if it is a little uneven nobody will be the wiser (unless I straighten it). I watch Shark Tank and saw this product and immediately knew I had to have it. I purchased it and the day it arrived it was time to put it to the test. I already saw it domed on Shark Tank so I knew how to use it, but it did come with a little leaflet showing how to use the clips. This must be a new addition because I've seen other reviewers unhappy that it came with no directions and you had to go to YouTube to figure out how to use it. So they saw feedback, and adjusted to make customers happy. Wonderful. I personally have no need for the blue clip for bangs, but it came in a pack so I have it just in case a friend may need one in the future. Using the CreaClip is super easy: you brush your hair forward with your head down (getting out all tangles) and rest your chin on your chest. Then you clip the CreaClip as close to the roots as possible, check to make sure the bubble is in the middle for an even cut, and slide down stopping at your desired length. Then you can cut straight across, or vertically for a "textured" look. It then advises you to clean with a toothbrush and shampoo after use and let it dry. My hair didn't have any product in it since I just showered, so I ran it under the tap to get the little amount of hair that got trapped when I trimmed it out, and let it air dry. It would have been great if it came with a little pouch or something to store them in, but it doesn't. I keep mine in a ziplock bag, nothing too fancy. I love this product, so glad I saw it on Shark Tank, and I love it. It is so worth it to save money cutting your hair at home. I mean, we dye our hair at home, why not cut it as well and save tons of money?!?!?! I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a cheap alternative to maintaining their hair. This product is basically the cost of one visit to the hairdressers, and it is reusable. It's a bargain!

I had seen videos of this all over YouTube. I always cut my own hair and my families hair. I am not a professional but I have done it all their lives. Cutting my own hair of course was always the hardest part. I decided to give this a try on myself and one of my daughters hair. It worked great on her hair. First I did a back trim using the "happy face" large clip to even out the back which was awfully uneven as her other layers had grown out. Then I did the triple layer cut with the advanced layer cut on top of that using the large clip trimming only small amounts at a time. I then shaped the hair around her face using the smaller clip for an even face framing affect. I find this worked fairly easy and gave rather nice results. When it was my turn I decided to be a little more daring as I really don't have the patience for all those steps on myself. So I flipped upside-down and pulled my hair into the large "frown face" clip. I then decided to cut about 4 good inches. I flipped back over and finger combed my hair. Nice layers. I then took my bangs without the clip and cut my side swiping bangs as I always do. Very nice results. Getting these results on my own hair would have taken me forever, or perhaps been impossible. I am a woman of little time with 7 children. This was quick, and easy. I have included a photo of my daughters before and after. I do recommend this product for saving money with trims or cuts. I love this product. I would definitely buy again.

Greatest haircutting invention EVER! I just got it in the mail and could not wait to try it. It worked amazingly. Exactly what I wanted. Definitely make sure to use the tutorial on YouTube. I did all 3 layers and side bangs. I am so happy worth this product I will be recommending to everyone.
