You can't use these without a support in the middle of the bed to keep them from separating when you get on the bed.

The bedrails do there job. I wish there was a center support but my husband made slats to help keep the mattress and boxspring supported.

Inadequate description. Did not fit my bed and I had to return them. They appeared to be good quality and Dancing delivery and return were excellent.
Easy to install

Our old bed rails were bent so we ordered these as replacements. Easy to install, sturdy, delivered quickly. We already had four wood 1x4 slats and we used them again with the new rails. So glad we did this!
Good rails to use for new mattress lengths
Amazon CustomerJuly 21, 2016
I ordered these because they were 3 inches longer than normal. It is a good thing that I did. Apparently mattresses are being made longer and a 60 rail would have made a very tight fit. The extra 3 inches gives us just enough room to tuck the covers down between the mattress and the footboard.
