This is a beautiful flute. Great sound. Easy maintaince. I have had Gemeinhardt flutes ever since my first many years ago. They are a quality product and I would recommend them to anyone. This particular one (bought used) was very well maintained and I would have gladly paid more for it. (I thank you for the deal!!) It's been many years since I have played and this was a perfect way to bring my love of music back into my life. I know there are a plethora of bad reviews of Gemeinhardt flutes, but as a veteran flute player (I am 27 and have played since 6th grade) I have had 3 Gemeinhardt flutes. The first closed hole (to learn on). The second an open-hole and this is my third. I have never had an issue, ever. They kept my in 1st chair most of my high school band life so they must sound pretty good. This is a great instrument!!!
