I bought this for my sons 9th birthday. He absolutely loved it. We spent time putting it together and it works great. It was actually fun for me to do this project as everything is built piece by piece (including putting the remote control together). I wish they had these kind of toys when I was a kid. I bought this for a retired engineer as a Christmas gift. He really loved the idea but he had a hard time with the size of the instructions. He did say that it came complete and he was disappointed that his eyes were failing him.

I'm so excited to give each of the twins this for Christmas! They are a very nice quality! Grandpa said he liked them because they aren't remote activated, you have to actually walk with them. That way they won't be able to secretly run them under our feet!! I can't give them a 5 because I haven't given them yet, but I'm hopeful they will hit the mark!

since you have to put it together yourself which is perfect for my son who is very into tinkering with electronics, part and pieces. He has made it into the three designs and created his own masterpieces as well. He has a storehouse of pieces/parts from various things around the house that have gone bad and uses them to create new things. excellent toy for an intelligent child who likes to build, create, tinker, modify, design, and invent!
