There used to be an Asiago Cheese spread sold through Sam's Club that our whole neighborhood loved. But Sam's stopped carrying it. Then one neighbor took it upon himself to suggest that Deli Direct should start development of the product. It took about a year, but Deli Direct has produced an excellent replacement and we are told that it is one of their best selling cheese spreads. Every time I go to their Lake Zurich, IL, based location, I contact all the neighbors to get their orders. The Asiago, the Horseradish and Jalapeno are the top ordered spreads from our hood, but everyone gets one or two Asiago spreads at least. The cheese spread makes a good topping for baked chicken breasts or fish fillets if you spread some on late in the cooking process. Top off with a sprig of fresh dill and you've got the easiest and best tasting main dish.
