I have a Greenworks G-Max 40 volt 14 inch string trimmer that accepts attachments but Greenworks don't sell a brushcutter. This Trimmer Plus attachment fits perfectly and is a quick and easy installation on my string trimmer. This works really well on any type of woody stemmed weeds and small trees that are too much for the string trimmer head to handle. I don't need to use the J handle and shoulder strap because my trimmer already has a handle and shoulder strap but they are included. Depending on your useage and expectations, the type of blade on this brushcutter may have some advantages over other types of blades. Since it isn't sharp like a saw blade or chainsaw, it doesn't require maintenance or sharpening. The 4 tip style of blade on this brushcutter won't replace a chainsaw but it is a perfect tool to bridge the gap between the string trimmer and a saw. Since this type of blade is a "happy medium" between the string trimmer and an actual saw blade, it will still cut long grass and weeds pretty well, without the need to change back to the string trimmer head. I doubt that an actual "sawblade" would work as well as this does for multipurpose trimming jobs. I have found that this brushcutter will work quite well for the vast majority of my trimmer needs and eliminates the need to replace trimmer string.

I had recently bought a Troy"‘Bilt TB22 to replace an old no longer working gas string trimmer that couldn't take attachments. I used this brush cutter on the TB22 and cleared a nice wide path through an area on my property that was overgrown. The cutting head easily took down a lot of the vines and small bushes. Bigger bushes I had to basically chop at while running at full speed, but it worked to take them down too. I will be using this on other areas that are overgrown in the future. Also this has an 8" head so it can take up to 8" standard circular saw blades to cut bigger branches, but I haven't tried this feature out yet.

What can I say other than this thing rocks. Makes quick work of blackberries. The carbide blade may be helpful with large dry branches but cuts through nearly any brush as is. Fits perfectly on my husqvarna 128ld . Easy! Recommend! I was dealing with heavy, large amounts of thick blackberries as in my pic.

The brushcutter attachment worked well with my trimmer. I took away 2 stars because I had to change the blade, the one included does not do well on larger diameter brush. If you are cutting blackberry and briars this will do great, if you are cutting saplings I would suggest buying a round blade with chainsaw teeth, these are for sale on amazon. The attachment fit well on my Ryobi and will work on anything trimmer that will take attachments.

Works nicely with the Kobalt Tools 80V battery-operated string trimmer sold at Lowes.
