Key features

  • A TOUCH OF RUSTIC CHARM - This collection of Butter Bell crocks draw inspiration from a French country kitchen, with intricate embossing on each butter keeper that resembles the leaves and crawling vines of a French vineyard, giving the container a well-worn antique appearance. Bring a bit of vintage style to your kitchen with this beautiful butter pot
  • DURABLE HIGH-QUALITY CERAMICS - The Butter Bell crocks are made from new bone china, a high grade, durable ceramic mixture. Liquid new bone china clay is poured into pre-cast plaster molds, then allowed to set for several hours. When dry, the butter bells are carefully removed from their molds, glazed and fired at 2200 degrees to create a beautiful, scratch resistant finish. Dishwasher safe; crocks contain NO lead or cadmium. Each purchase is back by a limited 2 year warranty
  • EASY TO USE FOR ALL TYPES OF BUTTER - Pour cold water into the base, pack dry lid firmly with softened butter, add 1/3 cup of cold water to the base, then replace lid into the base. An airtight seal protects and preserves butter's flavor and freshness. Easily fits one stick or cube (1/2 cup or 125 grams) of your favorite brand of butter, or your own homemade butter
  • STYLISH AND PRACTICAL - Conveniently sized crock hold one stick or cube of butter and fits neatly on your countertop as a perfect accent to any kitchen or tabletop décor, and is the perfect gift for all occasions for that foodie in your life
  • THE ORIGINAL AND BEST - Modeled after the original French beurrier, the Butter Bell crock by L. Tremain keeps butter fresh and spreadable for weeks without refrigeration, spoilage or odors. Two-piece design features an inverted bell-shaped lid and crock base for serving butter at the table, while protecting and storing the butter after each use

I LOOOOOVE THIS!!!!!!!!

I LOOOOOVE THIS!!!!!!!! Genius, why have I never heard of these before now? I live in a hot Mediterranean climate and had to keep butter in the fridge during the summer. Which we all know sucks when you especially want to make toast, etc. I refuse to use fake butter spreads and wanted real butter. THIS thing is AWESOME! It does work!! Plus this is gorgeous! I'll take a pic soon and share it! It's solid and not cheaply made. One thing to note is to form the butter into the bell leave a stick out till it semi softens and you can then form it into the bell. Then add a 1/3 cup of cold water and boom! It's genius! You have to change the water every 2 or 3 days. I have been every 2 days. No biggie. Small price to have real spreadable butter on hand. And another beautiful decoration to match my kitchen decor. I cannot think of ONE reason NOT to buy this!!
An outstanding Item

These have probably been around for a long time but I was recently introduced to an item like this by my daughter. It is such a good idea I had to have a second one. We use two kinds of utter in my house. This really works great and I no longer have to soften the butter in the microwave before I can spread it. Really an great item
Great concept, may have to wait for summer to ...

The butter just melts anyway and plops into the water, think Australian heat does nothing for this item. Great concept, may have to wait for summer to end. But that defeats the purpose. Leaving it in the fridge only makes it hard and taking it out a few minutes beforehand just warms the water too much and out the butter drops or it is too hard. Maybe the glazed inside would be better left porous then it would have something to grab onto. Live in a very humid climate
Pretty is all!

No matter how much I pack the butter in, it still falls out! I'm going back to a regular butter dish!
The only thing going for it is it's pretty but, in my opinion, not very functional!
Great item for soft, spreadable, NON RANCID butter!
Marana✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 11, 2016
This works great! I love having fresh non rancid butter kept at room temperature. Haven't experienced any discoloration that others have, but then again, I change the water whenever I think about it, which ranges between 1 and 3 days. I put it through dishwasher when it's empty, and refill with soft butter. I think people who experience grey discoloration of their butter must not be changing their water as often as they should.
