I have a 2016 Winnebago Itasca with a Ford F53 chassis (16000 GVW model 26HE) motorhome and installed this steering stabilizer. If you only do one thing to your F53 chassis this should be it. It helped stabilize my steering and reduced road wander. It is also a safety feature in the case of a tire blowout. Every motorhome should come from the factory with a steering stabilizer. Roadmaster also makes one, but I went with the Safe-T-Plus. Since then, I upgraded my OEM factory Ford sway bar with a Roadmaster 1 3/4" sway bar (1139-140), and Sumo Springs, front and rear. Front SSF 184-40-1 and Rear SSR 184-40-1. This combination made a dramatic difference in the ride of my motorhome. Much more firm and stable on the road. I would highly recommend these upgrades. Start with a steering stabilizer. I called Safe T Plus and they helped me pick the right one for my motorhome. There is a bracket kit which is also needed and sold separately.
Works as advertised

After 40 years of RVing in trailers and fifth wheels, we purchased a small 28-29 foot long motor coach. The high profile driving is so vastly different than driving a truck and towing! We have never owned a truck/camper but I imagine the sway and roll to be a similar experience. We just returned from a 7000 mile trip from Tucson up into Canada and back, over rough roads and through a lot of inclement weather, including high broadside winds. When we stopped at friends in Oregon we ordered this stabilizer and the guys installed it. It can be installed yourself with help but it took awhile to determine when the wheels/steering column are perfectly straight. When we left Oregon we hit high winds through WA, MT and Alberta and Saskatchewan. This device made a noticeable difference to both driver and passenger. It helps the driver recover from wind gusts, and gusts from passing semis.
Helps with wind and semi draft

Helps with drivability but was hoping for a little more noticeable difference while driving; however, my wife said she could notice a difference while riding in the back of our class A.
Very effective

I hate to sound like a broken record but......I wish I had done it sooner. It made a huge difference in the handling of my 35ft Winnebago chieftain
