Absolute garbage. The box comes locked and the lock is broken so you can't open it. Don't plan on buying anything from Kennedy ever again.
Faulty locking mechanism, received an item that had already been bought and returned.

When I received this unit, the internal locking mechanism was in pieces. I didn't want to bother going through a return (it was a present), so it was just less hassle to pull the drawers out and figure out how all the pieces of the mechanism went back together to get the locking system working again.
This item at some point had been sold and shipped to another customer, opened, and then had been returned to Amazon for some reason (possibly the lock). The return label and the original customer's label were still present on the box, and it had obviously been taped, opened, and retaped at least once. If an item like this is returned b/c of a problem then Amazon shouldn't be sending it right back out again.
The cabinet seems to be of marginal quality, I've seen much better from other manufacturers. The drawer guides are cheap and sloppy.

I tend to give everything the benefit of the doubt, but this box is an extremely cheap rendition of what Kennedy used to produce. I've got an upper box that is maybe 40 years old, and a lower cabinet that is maybe 5 years old, and this piece is made of lighter materials, and the drawer slides are horrendous compared to those boxes. Now, that said, I'm keeping it because it fits into the limited space that I have. On a positive note, the item was properly packed and went through the shipping process without issue.
