I've tried a lot of double-edge blades, but these are by far the best quality and sharpest blades that I have ever used (and last longer). They are like the blades that my father and grandfather used to buy right at the local drug store. I hope they keep making these blades forever. But, be very careful if you have not used these blades before, they are very sharp.

TIP: DO NOT press the razor against your skin when you're shaving with these blades. Use a very light pressure, and let the blade do ALL the work. Your face will love you for it. :-)

I used to use Gillette Super Blue blades and I really liked them a lot. I tried these Feathers and I love them! I also shave my head and I can get so much smoother with these than the super blues.

These are really super sharp blades. Makes for a really close shave. Mine came in the display case which was nice. They come in a plastic pack of 5 which has a place to dispose of the used blades. My only complaint is they are individually wrapped in waxed paper. This makes things a little dicey unwrapping them since they are so very sharp. I don't understand why they need to be wrapped since they are in a plastic case to begin with. Better be stone cold sober and not in a rush or you will slice your finger tips off when changing blades. The company would have been better off just shrink wrapping the plastic cases if they are concerned about the blades rusting. Probably would save them money in the process. But when it's all said and done these are quality blades and give me a nicer shave than some much more expensive German blades I've tried. So far I've gotten 4 shaves out of one blade and counting, not even a hint of dulling yet. Very pleased with my purchase. Update finally retired my first blade today. I shave just my neck and use a good quality shave soap and let it work before shaving and I got an amazing 12, 2 pass shaves out of a single blade. 24 days it took to dull this blade, outstanding. Doing the math assuming I'll get this much performance out of each blade, this one purchase of blades will last me just over 6 and a half years. Now what to buy with all the money I'm saving? Lol

These blades are wickedly sharp. They are the only blades that will cut through my dense beard. I have used these for about a year now and love them. They are also much less expensive than the multi-blade razors as I change blades about every 5 days.

If you have never used a safety razor and want to try one, it takes a bit of practice. As I said, these are wickedly sharp and you should be careful until you get some experience. I recommend the Merkur long-handled holder.

If you have a heavy beard, but want to have a close shave, these are fantastic!

These are the only blades I have found that don't irritate my skin, so I decided it was time to buy in bulk! I received a product that looked different from the picture, and like other reviews thought maybe I got a knock off, as it was priced almost too well. I had gray sleeves, with 5 blades per casing. previously I had bought smaller batches, so with 10 blades per case, I would be a yellow label instead of gray. Anyway the 5 blades, were not knock offs, and shave just as well as the originals.
