Our review of Pepperidge Farm Soft Baked MONTAUK Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies.
For the most part I avoid foods containing eggs or egg product, but there are a couple of brands that make baked sweets so tasty that I don't care about the ingredients.. :P
The chocolate chunks were delicious and only enhanced the lovely subtle flavor of the soft-baked cookie itself. I liked this cookie more than Mrs Fields bakery, while previously very nice, but has been a little more ecky-eggy of late"¦ I am still holding out for that perfect vegan soft baked cookie, but Back To Nature soft baked chocolate chip isn't bad in the interim either.
And on the occasion when I have a craving for a sweet like a soft baked cookie, when the pricier vegan soft baked aren't available, I have been somewhat impressed with the Entenmanns soft baked chocolate chip as my typical go-to. But based on a friend's suggestion, I decided to try the Pepperidge farm Soft Baked MONTAUK Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies and they did not disappoint! If you don't like eggs, you won't taste any, and if you do, you won't care anyway. Some of the crisp cookies come off as stale rather than crisp/crunchy, so I was a little skeptical about this cookie, but decided to risk it based on a friend's recommendation and was pleasantly surprised!
Now, I always try soft-baked cookies at room temperature to gage the actual softness and flavor before warming them in the microwave to have with a glass of Skim or Almond milk. These cookies were quite good, soft without being mushy, rich with flavor but without being overwhelming. A very well balanced, well made cookie.
Worth it! Our grade: Solid B! or 4.25Stars!

I just tried these cookies for the first time about a month ago. Now, I can't stop eating them! Perfect taste and perfect dough-to-chunk ratio. I only wish that more than 8 were in the package because they are fairly pricey, but luckily the cookies are rather large.

The quality of the chocolate tastes amazing, the macadamias were nice but would be better if toasted. The cookie was crispy which I didnt mind, and a nice shortbread style. I just had a strange after taste on mine, hard to describe, I know they werent stale but the after taste was like it had sat on the shelf for too long.
