I grew up under Southern Bell Telephone and the rotary dial. Yeah, that's how old I am. Nonetheless, then it was AT&T and everybody had their phones. Well not anymore. This RCA is quite nice and I was pleasantly surprised with the ease in which to set it up ( us old folks have no patience and poor eye sight - just kidding). I spent many years in an office environment and black and silver is elegant, professional. This phone has clarity, easy to use and set, large buttons, a sexy woman's voice to answer the phone, and it is a bargain at Amazon's price. So, you don't have to buy expensive to get good looks, a great product or have taste. For anyone looking to replace that AT&T cr--, go for it, you won't be disappointed.

I just received this the other day. While I know phones are iffy especially when they are used a lot we are choosing to rate this one high for the classy look, feel and sounds. The easy set up made it nice and I have no issues with sounds or hearing on this phone. The answering machine part of the phone is also quite nice. My old cordless version was distorted (of course that used to be nice too). I guess we will see how this holds up over time, but for now I'm very happy to have this quality phone. My old one just ended up in the trash! I would recommend this, I realize other buyers have different opinion's, but I use the phone daily for business and clear concise sounds are of great importances as is a working answering machine that plays back messages in a clear tone, all of which this phone does fantastically!

It's not as good as the older phones with large buttons, but it's the best I've used so far. The instructions for other uses, like lists of numbers to keep are confusing and I just don't use them. So, if you need to use lots of features, I hope you have a better experience. The handle stays put, and that's a better feature than other landline phones!

Seems pretty good so far, just have to reset every time power cord is disconnected (easy enough since settings are still there, I guess). Bought this phone to have a corded alternative for power outages and for better quality phone connections. In those regards, no complaints!
