Finally! A mouth guard I can tolerate all night!

This is the ONLY mouth guard I've tolerated keeping in my mouth all night. I grind my teeth and every other block (made specifically for me or not) I would spit out during the night! But these blocks are not obtrusive at all. There are only 2 reasons I gave it only 4 stars. First, they are rather expensive, since you can only use each one for 3 or 4 days at the most. And, 2nd, there is a very slight smell & taste to the plastic when you first put it in your mouth. But it isn't too bad and it does go away (or I don't notice it anyway) very quickly.

I think these work very well-at least for me they do. I don't have a serious grinding/clenching problem, so they work. I believe if you have a serious problem with this, they may not be enough since they are a thin strip across the front of your teeth and thicker on your very back teeth. I would recommend them on the basis that you have more of a clenching then grinding issue, but you can't beat the price and comfort factor.

These are basically perfect for sleeping! I clench my jaw at night and have tried regular night guards but those are just too thick for me to even fall asleep in. I cannot express how happy I am I found these and don't have to spend $400+ on a professional dentist night guard that I most likely would not wear. I like that these are very minimal, they have a thin strap and enough tooth coverage for about two back teeth.

I'm really happy with these Plackers Mouth Guards. I was using a boil and bite guard prior to these, and while it worked, it was very uncomfortable due to its bulky shape and size. These I hardly notice I'm wearing, and they definitely help with my tooth grinding/clenching problem. I've been sleeping much better since I started wearing these. Plus, the price is fantastic. I know it says on the box that you should wear one two or three times and then throw it out, but I confess I've worn each one over a month so far. They hold up very well, though I'm sure individual results will vary depending on how severe each person's grinding problem is. I will definitely buy these again.

I buy this for both my sister and nephew, one of which grinds so hard they've broken teeth! My sister swears by these. She gets less headaches, her teeth ache less, and she sleeps fairly well with them. They look fairly thin and she tells me that the sensation of them in her mouth doesn't interrupt her sleep at all.
Be warned though, store in a high place. For some reason her dog thought they were the best thing ever, he was eating them every time she put one on her bed side table. No idea what that was about?
Also you can get these at CVS, but the package there was bother smaller and more expensive than these.
