This is a perfect way to install LED rope light on a deck railing. I can't stand it when the lights droop and look shoddy. This both protects the rope lights and keeps them visually crisp for as long as they live! Great product. Works beautifully. Don't skimp!

After years of using the little plastic rope light clips I got tired of having to replace them when they broke and the rope light started to droop. I drilled small holes into the bottom ridge of the mounting track and screwed it to the wood soffit and edge of my metal screen room roof braces. Finally have straight lights with no drooping and worrying about clips separating and having the rope lights hanging loose. Not sure of the longevity of the plastic but hope it will stay for years. Would definitely recommend them to anyone using 1/2 inch rope lights.
