Good for a tame environment; seek other brand for rough climates.

This is a quality product but there are a few key flaws to pick out coming from an experienced and seasoned boater like myself. I took it out for the first times this summer and tested it and it worked well. I only needed it in a few emergency situations this year but in each situation, it failed. I took it down in my boat for a day of bass fishing and we were out til sunset and headed back to the house after it got dark.
While heading back at trolling speed in the dark it started raining and a boat was heading up on us in a small stream and didn't see us.
We grabbed the horn to warn the larger boat heading towards us but every drop of water caused it to be muffled and hardly any sound came out, quiter than our shouting. Eventually, we had to just drive the boat on the bank because they couldn't see or hear us.
The second time was when I had a tuber in the water and had to get someone's attention that was unaware of them and all that came out of the horn was cold gas and frozen liquid.Photos coming soon
Pros: design, ease of use, size
Cons: Random malfunctions, Not working in adverse conditions

Price was good. And for marine horns

Really loud, and I mean really, really loud. Use caution. Always point away from people and ear drums. I bought this as a backup for marine horns. Price was good. And for marine horns, they must be heard 1 mile away. Over water I have no doubt this horn can be heard 1 mile away. VERY Satisfied. Note: I seldom give 5 stars--for most of my reviews 4 stars is as good as it gets, 4 stars is my highest rating unless I fall in love with a product. I just cannot fall in love with an air horn.

Best 12.00 I ever spent to stop the fake and scam phone calls. I asked these people many times that I am not interested in their products, I do not owe the IRS money and my credit cards are fine where they are. Every time I get a scammer call, they get BLASTED!! Works like a charm!
Doesn't work very well

Doesn't work well. After I fully screwed the horn into the compressed air canister, I attempted to use it. It only whimpered instead of screaming. Seems like something in the horn aperture or body was not aligned correctly. I attempted to fix it, but w/o success. I'm sure that this is an isolated issue & probably just received a faulty unit.
Great telemarketer deterrent as well!

True story:
We use this air horn in our company office for when annoying telemarketers repetitively call despite requests to cease. After fair warning, we give them a little toot of this guy through the phone, and they usually don't call back again =)
Seriously though, this thing is incredibly loud, and has lasted us many uses so far!
