The jury is still out...

Not sure what to think. I just received this scale today. I set it on the flat, tile floor next to my full size bathroom scale. I made sure it was not sitting on grout lines and was level. (I am confident that my full size bathroom scale is very accurate.) The first time I stepped on the NewlineNY Mini, it indicated a weight of 2.8 lbs. more than indicated by my bathroom scale. Since then, I have weighed myself on both scales four more times and the NewlineNY Mini, consistently was exactly 1.4 lbs. more than my bathroom scale.
Over the next couple days, I am going to continue comparing the weights of both scales. I will have my husband do the same thing. I am going to keep a record of the discrepancy between the 2 scales. If the difference is consistent, that's fine. However, if it varies, then I will return the NewlineNY Mini. I will update my review with the results.

A good small size, a little heavy and consistently inaccurate

Overall, very portable and reliable. This scale is 1.5 lbs off from my home scale. This is okay because when I checked it at home it weighed me 1.5 pounds heavier than my home scale, and upon returning home with the scale, it still was off by exactly 1.5 lbs. Would I like it to be the same as my home scale? Yes, of course! But the fact that it is consistently 1.5 pounds off makes me able to live with it. It is quite small, heavier than I would like "” makes it more difficult to place my luggage in the overhead bin, but the pros outweigh the cons. I think I will ensure I have a replacement battery with me when I travel just in case because it take the dreaded button batteries that aren't all that easy to find on vacation.
Small, accurate travel scale fixes problem on no scales in hotels.

I'm on Weight Watchers. I've currently lost 70 pounds. I am a daily weigher. It helps me to be aware how my daily choices affect my weight. I travel a lot and some hotels don't have scales in their gyms. This small portable scale fixed that problem for me. I LOVE this scale and recommend it to my Weight Watcher's friends who travel. Also, it seems very accurate in comparision to my home scale and my official weight at Weight Watcher's weigh ins. My husband weighs a little over 250 and it handles his weight and his feet. Your feet do hang off the ends though. It works fine that way, just be prepared for that.

I have been using this scale for a few months now. It is very reliable. I weigh myself twice daily and I know almost to the ounce how much I will weigh in the morning by how much I weigh at night. I like that it gives you the decimals too, it doesn't just round up or down.
A lit of people have commented about how odd it was to learn to stand on it becaise if his long and narrow shape. I only found it odd the first time. I like the small slim design. Who wants that big, bulky intimidating scale hanging around?! I prefer the slim and trim one... which is what I will be when I hit my goal.
Regarding picture... I am 63 yrs old and have a women's size 9.5 foot. I do not have a problem "balancing" on it.

Product just not up to par

First of all I have no complaints about having this package arrive on time. The merchant and carrier both did a great job in timeliness. Upon opening the package everything seemed great. I followed the set up instructions which are relatively easy. You basically remove a plastic tab that is sitting between the battery and actual battery plane, step on and voila! The first time I used it I placed it on a leveled plane surface, no carpet, did not allow it get wet, kept it in a dry stored area and everything. The literal second day that I used it the step on function stopped working and the scale would only turn on if I pressed the Unit button in the back (which added 14.6 pounds hence an inaccurate weight). People were raving about this product and I am just disappointed that after following all instructions and ONLY using it TWICE; it has since then stopped working. Again, merchant and carrier did nothing wrong however, the product just is not up to par! I would not recommend to a friend.
