Not what the cat ordered.

My cats were pretty disinterested in these sticks, yet they live catnip. I believe that they didn't like the plastic-like texture. Unfortunately, these sticks, if pushed inward release the catnip inside. Now, that might be ok if a little is released, however these practically dump the contents.

Something about the mesh and the stick-like shape (plus the catnip, of course) has my kitties going crazy for these. First they bat it around, then dig their claws in and nuzzle it. Then they're spaced out for awhile, then they sleep!
The very favorite toy of one of our two cats and the other loves them too

Our male cat loves these. He is a two-year-old neutered cat and did not know how to play at all when we adopted him three months. He observed our female cat playing and learned to play with toys. He is very sweet and mellow most of the time, but he is so excited about these. He will play with other toys for about 5 minutes, but he plays with these until they are lost under a piece of furniture or he is exhausted - or our female cat steals it from him.
I recommend these for cats you like to bat toys around on the floor. I have bought these three times to date. I will buy more as they need to be replaced

Excellent Cat Toy!

I have two young male cats -- they'll be 2 years old on May 1. They both like to chew, so I bought these hoping they would chew on them instead of on my stuff. :-) So far, they haven't really chewed them, but they do love them. They have been playing with them nonstop for the last 20 minutes -- and that's the first time they've done that with any particular toy. (They play a lot, but their per-toy attention span is fairly short.) The catnip did fall out a bit when I squished the tubes around to entice my cats, but I don't mind sweeping up a bit of catnip dust. I will definitely buy more of these next time I have a big enough order (it's an add-on item).

I have an eleven year old cat who loves to chew on forbidden paper and plastic, and she's a catnip fiend. I hoped she would play with these and chew on them instead of everything else. She batted them a little bit at first, and she will intently watch *me* play with them. But after that first day, she's not interested. I bent one of them in half to let some of the catnip out, and she barely cared.
