I got this heater for tailgating after seeing (and feeling) the double burner unit on the larger propane tanks, but I wanted one that used the smaller 16 oz. canisters. It also can serve as a cook stove, but I have not yet used it for that. When I did use it, I set it at the lower (10,000 BTU) setting thinking that the tank would last through most of our pregame time. I believe that the instructions said that the 16 oz. tank would last maybe up to 3 hours on that setting, but the heat shut off after about an hour and a half of use. I did start with a full, or at least a NEW tank. But I did not closely check if that tank was completely empty when the heat shut off. Just be aware that you may use up your fuel more quickly than expected even at the lower setting. It's always a good idea to have more than one tank to use on any stove, heater, lantern, or grill that uses these tanks. This will not heat a large area or group of people, but will provide some warmth to take the chill off.

I find it to be made from cheaper materials than the Mr. Heater I bought in 1990. This one fell apart and I had to put it together with with wire to hold it together. The old one served me well for many years. The new one does have more BTUs though.

Works great, lights easy, and best of all it will work with the blue bottles you get anywhere. It will hold them stabile without turning over. On the flip side, it uses a lot of fuel even on low. 14oz.bottle may run 4 hr. give or take a little, still would recommend buying one.
