Quality parts, soft clutch throw
S. Denton✓ Verified Purchase•August 27, 2023
The throw-out bearing on my 2006 Forester exploded and I used this kit to replace everything. The kit includes everything you need including the flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, both bearings, and the alignment tool. The pilot bearing did not come already pressed into the flywheel, so luckily I had a bearing press to do that.
The clutch throw feels super soft now, which I think is caused by the pressure plate, but I don't mind. I bought this car used so I don't know how it feels stock, but I like the way it feels now and it's way easier to drive with a new clutch.

May have adverse effects...

From a product quality standpoint there is no issues at all. Its exactly what you would expect and for what you get its a great bang for the buck. There are plenty of other kits out there for the same or more money that don't include a flywheel.
I installed the kit on my 2008 Impreza 2.5i while doing work to the engine. When I got the car back on the road there was a couple alterations to the feel and operation of the clutch and engine. What I was shooting for was a less sensitive clutch engagement compared to the OE clutch. That part was obtained.
What I didn't anticipate was the higher clutch pedal engagement and the effects the lighter flywheel would have on the smoothness of acceleration. Under medium to hard acceleration there is a noticeable oscillation/mild jerking that can be felt that wasn't there before. While this is not necessarily a product defect, it can probably be credited to the 5 pound reduction in flywheel mass. In hind sight I would probably have left the factory flywheel installed.

2000 Impreza RS clutch kit

Bought this clutch kit for my 2000 Impreza RS. Installed and works great. I'm use to a very heavy clutch pedal and this is very light. Probably what a stock clutch feels like ha. So far I have 400 miles on it and climbing. No problems for the break in chatter was very minimal. I'd definitely recommend this exedy clutch kit
All as advertised, works fine.
