Keep these around for sore throats
Colvins•June 1, 2018
It's one of the more strange comments I've received from a Dr but after complications from having my tonsils removed as an adult, I kept sore throats. Seemed like I'd never get rid of the pain and soreness, hoarse by the end of each day. After many follow ups my laryngologist said "try those old fashioned lemon candies, with the rough coating, for some reason they have worked for some of my patients". Skeptical but annoyed enough to try anything as talking is 90% of my job, I ordered a large pack. I keep them stocked in the house, car, purse now. My grandmother will have a coughing fit & I'll give her a few - it helps. I can't explain it, but it's been a huge help for 11 years now ðŸ‘
Not Claeys

They are not Claeys. I ordered the wild cherry also and it has the Claeys label and these do not. They are also made in another part of the US. They are still pretty good but they are not as pictured.
Edit: After tasting the real Claeys and seeing how much longer they last and how much more flavor they have I had to edit this and drop it a star. The real thing is better.

I have awful dry mouth due to some of my "itises"and medications - so I keep these around for whenI get SO dry and my teeth begin sticking to my lips and I can't speak properly - or - those odd times when my blood sugar tanks and I need a super FAST sugar hit - I LOVE that they're right on in perfect natural sourness and have instantly noticeably LESS Sugar than Brachs which I thought nobody could beat! I have and WILL buy more of these again without hesitation!
False advertising

This bag of lemon drops were nowhere near the Claey drops I've been ordering. They are stuck together, not sanded, lemon flavor is faint. The upc says Claeys on the front of the bag says Ball. I had them sent to my mother's house, so i did not know about the problem until this month or I sure would have returned them
Hit or miss, no way to tell

These are _not_ casey brand, or at least the is no way to tell what you will get. I've ordered 3 bags and gotten 3 different brands.. the only thing in common is they are all 'lemon drops'. First bag was excellent, tangy, tart, and sweet all at the same time. Just like I remember from being a kid.
Second bag was alright, not great, not bad. Far less tart than the first. Different candy company produced it.
Third bag was ordered at the same time as the second. This one is for yet another place and is just a hint of lemon flavor, might as well be called 'sugar drops'.
In all cases they were 'fulfilled by amazon', I don't know why the permit obvious knock off products to be labeled as 'Clasey' brand when they are clearly not the same thing at all.
Needless to say I won't be buying any more unless I can be sure what I get, which means I'll probably have to buy them at a local store where I can taste them first.
