Just what I needed to fix the leak. Very Easy to use!!! Only thing is that the shut off valve is hard to turn
Simple to install, high quality material. Very pleased!

One morning I awoke to find my bathroom floor flooded from a leak that had developed in a water line connector. It (of course) was the weekend AND at the end of the month, so I was unable to call anyone out to repair it. Fortunately, I had paid attention when we installed the commode, so I felt comfortable replacing the part myself. I found that the Shark Bite connector was far easier to use than the part that I was removing--just push the piece into the PEX supply line and voila! Done! No crimping little hose clamps or anything else that required more strength than exists in my hands. Highly recommended!
SharkBite fittings are best way for the DIY person to fix leaking water valves

It never fails, you need to turn off the water to a sink but the water valve under the sink doesn't completely close because of hard water deposits. So you end up having to go downstairs to shut off water at the main valve. While most homes will have the standard water valves with compression fittings, I find that I always have a bit of water leaking from them until I really tighten them down. Then have issues trying to remove the old compression ring from the copper line.
SharkBite valves are super easy to use, just make sure you clean the end of your copper pipe with a bit of sandpaper and then wipe it off with a rag to ensure a good fitting. They just push on and then are easily removed with the supplied "C" shaped piece that you put around the pipe and push up against the SharkBite fitting. Found it was a better deal to purchase them here on Amazon vs my local box store and have spares for the next time I need them.

Follow the directions, it works like magic. ZERO problem.

While I'm used to using compression fittings for what this does, when working under a tight sink, this makes it a snap.
Be sure to debur the cut pipe so it's not sharp to the touch, otherwise you risk damaging the rubber seal.
Make sure to mark the pipe according to the direction as the rubber ring inside will give you resistance as you put the fitting on the pipe.
I'm so happy I discovered SharkBite. I plan on getting a "kit" of them in case of some emergency.
