purchased 2 only 2 months ago and they are already falling apart. Paid a high price because needed high quality that would handle high temperatures . These mitts definitely aren't safe for high temperatures that were listed .

I cook and bake A LOT. I put this to the test for a year before I reviewed. It still looks virtually new after all the cookie sheets and casseroles I've pulled out of the oven. More importantly, it can take the heat between forefinger and thumb -- this is where most other oven mitts fail for me. The longer length protects my arms when reaching deep in the oven (or not paying attention!). I have small hands and these don't swim on me which allows further accuracy. Based on its performance I am buying another for a matched set so I don't have to use a dish towel on my non dominant hand.
