Does the job, but may not work for everyone.

Used to replace temple piece with broken spring hinge.
Found impossible to do with original screw.
Because the 'tongue' on spring hinge is in constant tension the holes will not line up.
The extended shaft on these screws allow you to line-up the holes making it easy.
Well worth the mony.
Four screws of different thread sizes are included.
Will need two kits to repair both temples .
Since spring hinges are made in many different widths, screws will be too long in some and too short in others.
In my case the screw was a bit too long but acceptable.
Also, when you break off the extension shaft it leaves a sharp edge that is very difficult to smooth.
So you don't want a screw that's much too long.

I had broke my glasses and I didn't want to pay a all of money to get them fixed and wow I order these and it was a perfect screw for my glasses. I now know, I will never have to pay a lot of money to get my glasses fixed.
A great solution!

Great little kit, and I'm glad I was able to purchase it. I fixed my Ray Bans sunglasses, which I've had for ten year. One of the screws holding the right lens in place was stripped and came loose. I was able to fix it using one of the included screws. The new screw was slightly larger than the stripped screw I was replacing, so it fit nice and tight.
The kit comes with four different sized screws, and a screwdriver.

Works!

I had a pair of sunglasses that had the screw come loose and disappear and unfortunately I couldn't find it. I tried using a screw from a regular eyeglass kit to repair it with no success. The screw from the kit was the right size but getting it flush and putting it in was the problem because it was so tiny. Instead of taking it somewhere to get it fixed (because I'm lazy and because I didn't want to spend a ton of money) I ended up buying one of these kits based on the reviews. I gave the kit and my sunglasses to my dad since he's great at repairing things and he did it immediately. Voila, instantly fixed and like-new sunglasses. He told me he thought it was cool that it was so easy and since he wears glasses I let him keep the rest of the kit for future use. Its a good investment in my opinion. It wasn't expensive and has multiple screws so its more than a one time use.
