Transformational
Jonathan M✓ Verified PurchaseMarch 20, 2017
They look great on my garage doors. Simple to install and definitely transformational. My only concern was the 2" screws sticking through the door - so if your doors are single panel, I recommend installing some thick Styrofoam insulation, or adding some wine bottle corks to the backsides to prevent accidents.
My kids thought they were real

I've been wanting new garage doors for years, but just haven't wanted to spend the money. After seeing the reviews and photos, I decided to try these out as a temporary fix until I get new ones. They REALLY make a difference. I paired them with Household Essentials 240 Hinge It Magnetic Decorative Garage Door Accents - Black and I think they look fantastic. My kids thought they were real! #WINNING
Big impact, quick install — April 2017 Update: NO yellowing after 1 year of use, still nice white color

PROs:
- adds lots of character
- quick installation (30 minutes for 4 panels, with 2 people)
- realistic window look (really need to get close to see they are not the real thing)
- affordable price (as compared to a new garage door with windows)
- 15-year manufacturer warranty
- true white color still going strong after 1 year of use (no yellowing for us, which was an issue some reviewers mentioned)

CONs:
- ideally have two people to install

These accent windows add a ton of character to our standard double garage door (we ordered 2 sets). The install was quick with two people and the windows look pretty realistic when you walk or drive by, it's only when you get closer that you can see they are not real and even then you'd need to know to pay attention to that. With the instructions came a flyer explaining the 15-year warranty, which I didn't even realize these came with. We ordered magnetic iron-look hardware as well and our garage door looks 100% improved - very happy!

It was quick to hold up each panel to mark the screw holes and drill pilot holes. The only tedious part is attaching the screws "” there are 6 screw holes in each panel and you have to insert each screw and the fasten it from the back with a rubber washer that you thread onto the screw (see pictures). That's what took the longest. The rubber washers hold the screws in place when you hold up each panel to screw it in "” because all 6 screws are in the panel when you put it up, it's really better to have two people. This way there is one person holding the panel steady so the screws don't scratch the garage door and helping to guide the screws into the pilot holes, and another person to screw in each screw a little bit at a time. Overall though, it was still a pretty quick process considering the big impact this change made to our garage door and curb appeal.

A few reviews mentioned these panels yellowing after a few months to a year, so I'll be watching out for this. For the price ($200 for a two-car garage door), I think it would still be worth the effort to potentially have to remove the panels in a year to spray paint them white again, if they do yellow.

UPDATE, April 2017:
After 1 year of use, our panels are still the original white color, we have experienced no yellowing at all. This was something I was looking out for based on other reviews, but luckily for us it turns out not to be an issue so far. I will update if we notice any discoloring over time, but for now we're still very happy with this product.
Highest IMPACT for the FEWEST dollars!

I couldn't be happier with the way our project turned out. For less than $300.00, we have given our home a complete face-lift. As soon as we finished and closed the garage, a neighbor walked by and said: "WOW! You got a new garage door!" I replied: "No, actually. It's the same door. I just gave it a makeover. We cleaned it, painted it, and put windows and hinges on it."

She was in disbelief. "I just spent $2,500.00 on a new garage door and yours looks better than mine!"

I included before and after photos for everyone to see.
Would likely fit fine on most 4-section doors though

This does NOT fit well on my 5-section doors. Would likely fit fine on most 4-section doors though.

I like these a lot though, as they look great. Wish they had other sizes available.

I painted them to match, which is a bit of a hassle because of all the fine trim work. The plexi scratches quite easily, so be careful. But it's also very glosses, so these look more real than "real" windows, which are often frosted or less glossy.

I had to modify my doors considerably to get these to fit. Most wouldn't have bothered, but I liked the look so much that it was worth it. For those who are interested, I had to adjust my top doors brackets, and then shim out the top corners and top center of the door to leave a gap wide enough to avoid crushing these. Also had to adjust the downward position of the garage door opener as well.
