Excellent cleaner/lube
Jim Schmidt•June 17, 2017
After hearing about CLP on Tom Gresham's show and reading positive online reviews, I ordered it and have been using it for about a year. As far as basic quality is concerned, it meets a number of Federal standards, and is often requested by individual military users.
It has adequate viscosity to remain where it is applied, leaves a thin, barely damp film and is easy to remove when necessary. It is far less aromatic than other cleaners, solvents and lubes, making it "in the house friendly".
Cleaning interior bolt/receiver/trigger parts can be done by applying CLP, brushing deposits if necessary, let sit and wipe clean.
For cleaning the gun bore, I use a Boresnake dry, then run patches with CLP through the barrel till they pass thru clean (number of passes depend on ammo cleanliness and number of rounds fired). I usually shoot 50-100 rounds per gun per trip to the range, so higher usage may require additional attention

It's foam and is cool.
Good to have for any firearm owner

CLP is great for any gun owner, cleans well and leaves a protectant on your rifle, pistol, etc when you wipe off. Not too greasy to give you any FTF situations.
Works great, doesn't harm synthetic stock.

I needed something new to clean my M&P shield since the cleaner for my SS tiger was too abrasive. This stuff works great. The straw it comes with helps get it into all the small nooks on the weapon. Will definitely be ordering more.
Messy but effective

Cleans really well but it is messy. Compared to hoppe's elite gun cleaner I found this to be way messier; but removed soot way easier. I needed to place an extra towel under my mat because the oil would seep through to my table. It splatters every where too. It foams up and cleans really well; but I had to wear gloves as I felt there was way too much product to handle. At the end of the day it removes carbon easily. My rifles are New but I've cleaned them after 200 rounds at the range a few times and noticed with CLP It was more effective.
As far as lubrication it does the job although I prefer slip2000. It leaves a nice sheen and it feels oily but I prefer something thicker around the BCG. I highly recommend it
