Awesome Idea/Product

Nice and compact to travel with. Bought this for my destination wedding so I can press my bouquet. I have tried this on a few flowers and it is so much faster. It does take some patience. I recommend microwaving it in intervals like the box says but then letting them sit out for a bit (like a few days) to let them dry a little more naturally so they don't burn. Fits good in my small microwave. Love this item.
I would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could!

Love, love, love this Microfleur!! I now have 3 of them because I can find so many things to use in them and patience is not one of my greater virtues!!! That is my honest and experienced opinion, and while I have not EVER received anything as a free or promo item (hint, hint, and how do you sign up for THAT program!), I can only give 5 stars and Kudos regardless!! (and I did buy spare parts separately from the mfgr. Customer service is wonderful too!!) :-)
Perhaps its because of the succulent like leaves which i recommend pressing the old fashion way ...

I had a class project that required the pressing of lawn weeds. It took several weeks for the weeds to dry in a traditional flower press. Using my traditional flower press, somehow the weeds were moldy not dry, by the time I got back from vacation. The project (to have 10 weeds dry pressed) was due that Monday! So, i technically had a week to do this. What an emergency! I ordered the Microfleur thinking this would not work, but I had to try. I got the next day delivery. I got an A on my project :) Take duplicates of what you want to press and try it out. I did all lawn weeds and the only ones that did not meet my expectations were Purslane. Perhaps its because of the succulent like leaves which i recommend pressing the old fashion way until you become a master at this. I am not disappointed in this product. I am sure i will need it in the future. The i cringed ta the price, but i needed my A!
Microfleur is the best way to press flowers

Microfleur is the best way to press flowers. I bought this one for a gift because I have a 5" one for myself and knew it works very well. It is durable too. I have used mine for about a year. You will need to purchase some extra cloth from the fabric store, as you will only receive 2 pieces with your order.
Great flowerpress for a beginner!

I had never pressed flowers before and this microwave flowerpress made my flower pressing project pretty easy. My father recently passed away and I wanted to save some of the roses from his graveside service. Roses are a bit of a challenge since they are so thick so I read a lot of advice before beginning the project and I watched a couple of youtube videos. This one was my favorite: (...) It's short and very informative.

If you're pressing a flower that's thick, like a rose, then I found the best thing to do is to basically take all the petals off and then "reconstruct" a thin rose in your fingertips with just a handful of petals. Also, follow the instructions and only microwave the specimens for short periods of time. For me, the flowers I were using were important (from my dad's graveside service) so I didn't want to risk the chance of burning them. I was probably way more conservative than I needed to be but I microwaved in really short bursts of 20-30 seconds and I also allowed the flowers to air out in between zaps. I also stretched the process out over a few days. I was really happy with the results and now I just need to figure out what I'm going to do with all the pretty pressed roses I made!
