I purchased this 5" hose for my shop dust collection setup, and it is connected to my table saw. This stuff sees virtually no dust build-up on the inside thanks to the smooth walls, and the PU material seems to have a lot less static buildup than PVC and vinyl. It is very heavy duty and I can tell that it will take a real beating.
This stuff is fairly stiff and heavy, which can make handling it cumbersome. I would not recommend using this in a tight space, or trying to store it in any sort of "compact" way because it is a little unwieldy. However, that's to be expected with a heavy duty item like this! I just fold mine in half and put it up against the wall behind my table saw when it is not in use. Initially I tried to store it up in the garage rafters, but that proved to be far too much of a hassle.
Also note that the yellow spiral ribbing material will transfer yellow marks onto things if it is dragged over edges. The marks are easy enough to scrub off with a scouring pad, but just be aware of that.
