I had issues with my Scott road bike rear breaks ...
RoFeld•September 1, 2017
I had issues with my Scott road bike rear breaks. Moreover, I was able to fix it with the help of Shimano Brake Cable and Housing Set (Universal)
The product fits the description. It comes with two cables one short for front breaks, and a long one - for rear breaks.

includes one long cable, one shorter. both have different ferrules at each end. This makes them fit two different types (DUH). You cut at the end that doesn't match your cable type.
Comes with covers and cover ends. Comes with the cable ends that stop the wire cable from unwinding. Five stars !

Good price for OEM quality
Amazon Customer•June 28, 2017
Good value and OEM product is outstanding quality. No reason to try to shave a buck or two for cheapo cables that are not as smooth or coated. If you're using 105, Ultegra or Dura-Ace, it's worth it for the genuine product.
Work great and look good!

I bought new brake calipers for my solid frame trek mountain bike and installed these cables with the new calipers. They are extremely responsive, have no noticeable stretch and are easy to install given you have a pair for clamps, vice grips, table vice, or pliers using a death grip squeeze. One thing that could be changed is the labeling on the cable ends. Currently there are not stickers wrapped around them to discern which end is which. My friend was doing the back wheel when he cut the wrong end off, not paying attention to it.
Other than that one issue(which was mostly user error) I have absolutely no complaints about the quality or craftsmanship of the cables. They are solid and look great on my Trek.

It pays to have a name brand!

I like the idea of having a universal end on it. Not that I needed it but it does come in handy if you have a Mountain bike. I like to stick to name brand products when it comes to bike accessories, they are just made better.
