Don't like that it doesn't close completely flat around the hair

This iron gets very hot! Don't like that it doesn't close completely flat around the hair. It also has a tendency to pull and tug on the hair.
It gets HOT! Quick and effective result.

I've been happy with my previous Andis straightener, but wore it out after 8 years and replaced it with this one. No kinks of the hair because of the curved edge! Every other curling iron and straightener that I use, I've always turned all the way up bc my hair needs a lot of heat to get a result. Without any hair product in, I got a fantastic quick result with only on 15/20 heat setting. It gets HOT! Without the flat sides, it's not easy to grab the rubber tips to help twist it, and the outside surface of the plates also gets really hot. I burned my finger. But once you adapt to only handling it below the plates or using a heat-resistant glove, it's easy to get a fast and effective result.

Not as good as the Andis lighted model straightener. I have somewhat thin to normal hair and I find that I really have to squeeze the plates together hard to keep my hair from just slipping out. The lighted model seems to grip my hair much better but the price is more than I wanted to pay so I went with this one. I never used the light up feature anyway. I think for the price, its a perfectly acceptable iron and maybe once its had some use and gets a little bit of product buildup on the plates, might resolve the slipping issue.

Horrible! The plates don't touch so I can't get my hair straight and the sides of the plates are grooved so they pull out my hair while using the flat iron. I really wanted this to work because I have another Andis flat iron that is a different model, but this one is a total flop. I sent it back for a refund.
Nice Flat Iron .... get's a bit hot.

The Andis 67410 Flat Iron works well you just have to be very careful while using the device. The only negatives would be that the ceramic plates are a bit short and constantly catch and pull your hair where the plates meet the control area and the unit gets extremely hot. Do not lay this unit sideways on your counter or prop it against anything while it is on and make sure to keep the plates securely closed while it's heating so you can heat it safely. I placed it on it's side to heat and it left a scorch mark on my bathroom counter top. As with any device there is a learning curve and adjustment period. The flat iron does the job.
