These are awesome. I've never been a fan of garden variety ...

These are awesome. I've never been a fan of garden variety mounting anchors. I've never felt highly confident in their performance and in trying to make for a snug fit I've often bent them while hammering them in and they're damn near impossible to get the rest of the way after that.
These are certainly more rigid than their counterparts, so while I haven't even tried to test the self-drilling of these anchors, I am able to start with a very small pilot hole and it will drill and screw in quite well. Take care not to overdo it because the heads can strip out easily enough.
As to any concerns about it making large holes, I'd much rather deal with fixing those holes later to use an anchor that is more reliable than other common ones by along shot. I have enough of these to not feel I'll be needing to get more any time soon, but these are exactly what I will be buying again whenever that time does come.

DRYWALL ANCHORS

These are awesome by far the best invention. However I see some people are using them for walls other than drywall. They are called drywall anchors for a reason!
Easy to install with or without a powered device. Mark where you want it. Put your Phillips bit or Phillips screwdriver and the wall and lightly hit it and pre mark the wall. Then put your anchor in the divit and twist till it's flush with the wall.
Happy hanging

Works file but I still recommend a small pilot hole.

I have a love-hate relationship with these. They are easier to install than the typical cheap anchors, and they have better hold as well. But PLEASE don't actually use these as self-drilling. I have destroyed many anchors, and many walls, believing that these plastic things could be installed with just a screwdriver. You need to make a pilot hole.
The big advantage I have found with this product is that the size of the pilot hole can be small, and it is much more forgiving size-wize than the precisely-sized holes you need to use for regular plastic anchors. The disadvantage over regular anchors is that you are making a significantly larger hole in the wall (so renters beware).
To date, the only anchors I have found that are truly self-drilling are metal ones that look similar to these (which I have used with varying success depending on brand).

Great drywall anchor. They saved my marriage.

These are the best anchors I've ever used in drywall. I have used A LOT. These (and their bigger brothers the SP) securely fit into drywall and the included screws can be inserted in and removed without budging the toggler.
Note - I would recommend only using hand tools (or maybe a low torque electric) to insert these (and probably the screws) to avoid stripping the drywall and leaving these spinning. I haven't had this happen yet with these, but other (metal and plastic) drywall screw anchors have this happen regularly when I use any power driver.
I also love that the included screws are deep, but due to the design of the toggler opening up there's no max depth to drive them in; I have some metal drywall anchors that will not let their included screws get flush because of their design.
I used these to hang some keyhole design IKEA shelves where the screw needs to be proud of the wall a certain amount (always needs adjusting a couple of times to get the perfect fit) and the anchor didn't budge during any of the adjustments. They saved my marriage.
