Was not made to fit a regular flute. Got it for my cousin who is in marching band, but her flute was not able to fit because the places to put the flute parts was too small. We ended up pushing the inner material to make the flute holders bigger, but it definitely was a pain. Decent material, though!
There is not a place for the cleaning rod...

Great replacement for an older case, much easier to manage for a student than a hard one. As other reviewers have commented about that there is no place for the cleaning rod that does not hit or touch the instrument. Real oversite. Other than that would be 5 stars. Great color too.

This is a nice lightweight case that offers great protection for my son's flute. It is able to handle anything this 7th grader throws at it. His flute fits perfectly inside the nicely-lined case. He doesn't use the strap but it's well-made and could handle lots of use. My son really loves the color as it stands out from the boring black cases that everyone else has. A great value for a quality case!

I just opened this item and I am returning it tomorrow. I don't know how it can be called a flute case! It is an oblong bag with a strap and a front zipper compartment. There are NO "compartments" for the individual pieces of the flute to keep them from falling around inside the bag and bumping into each other. Also, mine didn't look exactly like the picture. The embroidery/logo on the front was in white.
Cleaning rod falls out of its slot, will NOT fit in outer storage pocket.

Really wanted this case to work, was our second flute case order (other case was a different brand). Although this case was definitely a nicer upgrade to the first brand we tried, the issue was with the cleaning rod storage...inside the case there are cut-out slots for the 3-piece C-flute, and there is also a cut-out slot for the cleaning rod, HOWEVER, the cleaning rod slot is cut out of the lid of the case, which is a cause for a problem. When you close the hinged case, the lid will close down onto the lower half, and in this process the cleaning rod will fall out of its slot every time! This is a problem because the rod is now being sandwiched on top of the flue pieces which will result in damage to the flue rods if overlooked. I wish the outer storage pocket was long enough to accommodate the cleaning rod, but sadly it is not. This case was returned too for yet another flute case purchase at a higher cost.
