Great rack, instruc. worse than IKEA

Literally just set it up, everything looks great so far. I got this just to hold my guitars in a space saving design in my apartment. I don't think this would be durable enough to take on the road, just from the feel of the hardware. But for the price this thing is exactly what I needed.
Only con: the instructions are awful, I literally had to look at the image of the rack on Amazon and piece it together

Does the trick for electrics

If you have classical, or acoustic, or other type of guitars, forget about buying this thing. You can only fit one at the end if it has a wider than an electric guitar side. Otherwise prepare to bump all your guitars in and out and to get tons of scratches, etc. So, if you want it for electric guitars and basses it works fine, other than that, stay away. Unless you are going to use it for 3 or 4 guitars, then you won't have a problem like in this stock picture of the item.

others have already suggested that this is not a precision piece of kit; I kept thinking about a high school (or maybe a grade school) metal shop trying to make a few bucks for a field trip or something. it takes a little fussing to get the pieces to fit together, but the instructions are included if you are not sure how they are supposed to fit. It has a hex key, but you will need pliers. I am interested to see how the rubber padding holds up over time. If you need a high quality rack that look really nice, this is not your gear -- if you want an economical solution to storing a few guitars, this might do the trick. I plan on improvising a way to divide the spaces a little better; maybe I'll post a pic of that when I figure it out.

I want to start by saying that for the money, it is worth it. I had no issues putting it together and it is holding my guutars just fine. I will point out that the construction is, again, what you pay for. It isn't the most expensive material to build with, but with the construction, it does its job.
I would also like to point out that some people say it is wobbly. Again, it is, but not if you put it together correctly. I would like to also say that the folding function is awesome amd probably adds to the wobbly side of the review.
Also, the welds do look a little weak. To break them would take a mighty force though. You would have to purposely try and break them by prying the metal apart with something. It would not take just your hands to break it.
I will also say that it is easy to put together. I like it just fine.
Over all, I am pleased. It is what you pay for.

Overall frame is solid, but the pivot point is connected with a single bolt on 2 flimsy barely tac welded pieces of metal. That makes the upright neck support loose and can lean back too far. If you are a DIY person like me you can reinforce the neck support to the base with 2 L brackets and some screws. Once I did that there were no problems, but it does take away the foldability.
