Just works....

This is an easy install, and really does prevent high winds from causing drafts that will blow out your pilot light. I painted mine with heat proof flat black to blend into my roofing, and added one self-tapping sheet metal screw to make certain that updrafts couldn't lift the cap off (although it fits tightly). Total of 30 minutes. Well worth the effort.
Solved ALL backdraft issues!

I have a rocket stove and this fixed ALL backdraft issues. Whenever I build a rocket stove for someone, I will make certain they have this product. Thank you for a quality item. Good job to whoever invented this rain cap.
Have to have.

I purchased a gas fire place and the wind kept blowing it out. I couldn't keep the pilot light lit. It will not blow out now with a strong wind. It works great. Gas fireplace places needs to sell these when they sell the product in a strong wind area.
wait and see

Liked the design. Will have to wait and see if it prevents wind from blowing out pilot light. Wish they would give dimensions on inlet pipe and not just height and width.
Thank God that worked!

I live in a modular home. The hot water heater would blow out every time the wind blew from the south. Years of saying "gotta do something about that" so I did. This worked wonderful. Installed easy and We haven't had an issue even with 60 mph winds. Now to replace the others.
