These are the chili beans I grew up with and they're still the best I've ever had but I was very disappointed to receive 12 cans of beans that are already past their "best by" date. Buyer beware!

We used to live in St Louis, Mo which is where they sell these beans in the grocery stores. They are my mother's favorites and one of the items from there that she orders on line to have on hand. They are spicy, but not too spicy for most people and have a delicious flavor.

I purchased these for a friend who loves them and could no longer find them in our area. She loves the beans but was disappointed because the expiration date was only six months after they arrived. While she loves the beans, she said there was no way that she could eat that many (12 pack) in six months! If not for that, I would give it five stars
