Bought this due to a terrible flood we had here in Sioux Falls and got water in my basement. Usually just rent one from our local Menards but the whole town was flooded and didn't want to have to wait to rent one so o decided on this one due to it being 1 hp vs some of the other models. This thing blows!!! Turned it on and it about knocked me on my butt! Best investment and not hoping to have to use it again, but if I do I will be sure the carpet will dry quick!

I didn't know exactly what I was looking for, but I read a ton of reviews on many of these type of air movers. I had a massive long term leak that literally soaked the lower level of my RV which is my humble abode. I don't have extra money for such purchases, but after finding out how much these things cost to rent and how long I needed it, it was more practical to purchase. I can always resell on Craig's List! I didn't buy it from a dealer because Amazon had a brand new one in a damaged box for $50 less than the brand new one for $250 and it was free shipping! The box was damaged when it arrived and taped, but the Air Fox was intact with no damage.

It moves a ton of air. I couldn't use it with the electrical outlets in my RV, but it will run off of a generator. I'm sure it uses a lot of energy to run it, but it works and is worth the cost. It has 3 levels of speed. It is heavy but I could carry it. It vibrates which causes it to move, but that can be remedied by placing a rubber mat (door mat) underneath. Hope this information helps with your decision to purchase or not.

Noise is low for such a powerful blower and it moves an enormous quantity of air. However the build quality is dismal.

The housing shows a fair bit of handling and scuffing (is this really a "new" item?). The blower wheel is cocked about 1/2" and the outer rim of the squirrel cage is bent in two places. Multiple balance weights were added to accommodate the runout which shows that this is "factory approved", not subsequent damage. I'll be returning this.

This is the first time I have bought an item like this, but I have to say it is one of the best purchases ever! This thing really moves the air. At 3450CFM's it's not the biggest volume of air movement out there, but it sure does a great job of drying the floor. The only thing I dislike about it (and it is just a very small issue) is that it does not flow the air directly onto the floor. Instead it blows the air about an inch off of the ground. I have found that propping the back of it up allows it to blow directly onto the floor which drys it much faster than the inch elevation of flow provided. All in all, it is a very nice unit!
