Use extreme caution when using on a silky coat

waited to write this review to see if this product would work to control the demodectic mange my dog has on his paws! Used exactly according to directions! I could stand the odor and the discoloration of the coat, but was not prepared for the fur pilling, clumping and melting ( becoming slick and slimey )
This product did not control or eliminate the mange, but did in fact destroy my shitzu's coat! It matted and "melted" his fur.... which could grow back, if it worked for the skin condition, but it did not....this product was a sad, expensive, error for my pet!! Past the refund date! Benzol Peroxide and Borax is much more effective with no damage to my pet's coat...
Didn't Work But Home Remedy Did

I did two dips of this for our toy shih tzu. When it was time for the third dip and she wasn't itching any less I came back here and read all the one star reviews.

Ultimately I chose to give her a hydrogen peroxide/borax/water dip instead of this product because of what I read on here (and other places). She received immediate relief! Finally...prayers were answered! We are now 12 hours past the first borax dip and she is itching 90% less. It's amazing!

Sorry I had to give one star but this Limeplus didn't work for whatever my dog has BUT the home remedy recommended in the reviews here did. Thank you Amazon for giving us an opportunity to share our experiences.
Smells like a rotten egg is rubbed on your face but this stuff WORKS!

If you can't get rid of ringworm or mange here is your farty smelling solution. Make sure to follow the directions perfectly and get lots of Qtips and cotton balls for the sensitive areas of your angry ungrateful fur ball. I also bought some dishes gloves because I promise this is not something you want on you. I also would suggest putting a hole in a garbage bag and wearing it like a poncho because animals do this selfish thing when they are wet and shake off only when they are right up by you. As if to tell you "I hate you and you're smelling like this too". And don't be tempted to abort mid mission because you need to be thorough and it has to have sitting time to work. And for the love of God don't rinse off just lightly dab. Its a process you don't want to repeat. So just bite the bullet and do it right the first time or you will have a mad little yellow horrendously smelling creature walking around your house for longer. Get a cone collar too.. Keeps them from licking... And while its slightly evil to say they just look funny with one on and its a little satisfying to see given how your animal will turn on you during this process like Old Yeller post rabies. Your house or at least a wing of it will smell like the house itself let one rip. I used Scentsy like they were going out of style and its just smelled like that with fart or rotten egg under tones. Odoban helped a little plus disinfects which helps with ringworm in your house. Do it outside whenever possible!

Good luck peeps... You will need it!
Saved Furbaby's Life!

My aunt's dog went from completely bald, raw and itching skin for years. They even thought about putting her to sleep. The vet kept prescribing shampoo that never worked. I bought this and shipped it to her asap. It's been two months and her furbaby's hair is finally growing back and the itching is almost gone! Miracle product thank you!!
Lime Sufur my dog prefers

Lime sulfur has much less odor and less likely to stain house furniture than other types I tried. I have an indoor dog, who is black and does not tolerate summer sun well, but managed to treat him in the late evening, did wait time outdoors before bathing and returning indoors. I believe it told me how long to leave it on my dog which other products did not say. None of these products are something you want indoors because fumes on some burn your eyes and nose, but this is tolerable product. I used it outdoors but could have done inside with a window ventilation, if needed during the winter. Beware of thick products that perhaps are designed for outdoor cattle and a leave on application, I wasted a lot of time money etc. on them.
