No loop at the top so it doesn’t break easily :)

I'm a teacher and my kids keep breaking the thermometers. I bought this as a replacement and one thing I love is there isn't a loop at the top like a lot of liquid thermometers have. The loop sticks out and that's what keeps breaking and letting air bubbles in. This replacement one has outlasted a lot of other ones so that's a win in my book!
NO FAHRENHEIT! Great quality for price, but mine came chipped.

A basic thermometer. It appears to be pretty decent quality construction, and it includes a small rubber roll-stopper/bumper. The reservoir tip at the bottom is not properly aligned with the shaft of the thermometer, it is slightly askew. Mine also came slightly chipped right at the top of the unit, but it doesn't affect usability and is barely visible. I would speculate that this is why such a good thermometer was offered at this low price. These are either medium-to-low quality thermometers or B-grade higher end thermometers.

The square-sided case that this thermometer ships in is very sturdy. Perfect for storing the unit in without fear of it breaking.
Perfect for my little scientist

My son is into science, building things, creating art, etc. With that being said, this was a nice addition to add to his inventory so that he can have when learning Celsius and Fahrenheit. Nice size and perfect for him to read the numbers and see how temperature changes. Needless to say, he was excited when the Amazon box showed up"¦haha.
H-B Durac Lab Thermometer 0-300F - Arrived in 1 piece!

This thermometer was triple packed for safe arrival. There was; the box and bubble packing, then the thermometer and more packing, then the hard diamond shaped sheath protecting the thermometer. Mine was the partial immersion version and has measure a couple random things accurately like my body temp, boiling water, and the temp outside. I will be using this for some Labwork with my organic chemistry set. Things like distilling essential oils and some other fractionations this next season. I was worried it wouldn't arrive intact but currently it was the best the seller could achieve. Today is 01/11/2003. I would have given the accuracy 5 stars if the NIST certification was in the box.

These worked well for my son's science fair project. They were a bit longer than I expected (I didn't read the product description) and they only have the Celsius markings, which was fine since everything had to be written using the metric system. We ended up buying 4 or 5. Since they are glass, we accidentally broke two and one stopped working on its own after several uses. They did work well and seemed to be accurate.
