This thing does what it's supposed to--it picks up the ball. My problem was that it tended to catch the separator in the bottom of the bag and pull off when I grabbed for my putter. If the club separators go all the way to bottom, then no problem. I solve the problem by buying a clamp holder for my putter which allow s me to keep my putter on the outside.

they work great, only thing is that they can catch on the inside/bottom of your bag and then it pulls out. Then you have to go in after it.
Simple, effective, durable. Saves my grandpa's back.

Works exactly as advertised. I tried buying several similar items for my grandfather, who golfs twice a week with a bad back. He now calls this the most valuable tool in his bag. Super durable, works better than any alternatives that I've tried, and is more flexible than the alternatives (can pick up clubs or the flag after you've set them down). Horne Golf also seems to be great - I had a minor shipping problem when I purchased a second one of these, and they took care of it instantly with no issues.
It works but I stopped using it here's why

It works great. BUT it keeps getting snagged in my putter well of my new sun mountain bag and it pops off. Then it takes me a half hour to get this thing out of the bottom of my golf bag.
The actual items works great for picking golf balls and flag stiffs

You need to make sure you putter slot is large enough to put this in. If not you have to get clip to attach putter to outside of bag. The actual items works great for picking golf balls and flag stiffs. My buddy had it come off in the bottom of golf bag an adventure to get it out without emptying the golf bag.
