Handy and safe time saver

Used this gadget to diagnore some shoddy wiring in my neighbor's breaker box. He had a circuit that has been out over a year and using this littly guy, I was able to trouble shoot while the power was applied, saving me several hours of shutting off the mains and pulling wires to access the bare conductors. Needless to say, neighbor is a happy camper and so am I because this made a several hour job take 15 minutes and it only cost me $27.
Dependable, quality.

Excellent quality, can't / won't work on Electrical items without this. My go to Non Contact Voltage Tester. Great for many uses around the house, even when I'm not opening up electrical fixtures for service or repairs.
Instructions for battery change incorrect.

The instructions that came with this instrument tell you to replace the batteries to "press and slid battery back door". There is no battery back door. To replace the batteries unscrew the white front of the tester and pull the batteries out. I can't believe the OEM has the wrong instructions with the product.
I would have given this product 5 stars except for the instructions.

A lot of electricians are critical of these but it's already saved my diagonal cutters and possibly my life multiple times. Works very well and a no brainer for an electrician to carry...especially when doing demo work

Great pocket size voltage tester for the home gamer. I was stalling some new light and wanted to make sure that the current wasn't live before I removed the old outdoor lighting. This was helpful for sure. It is made in China so that was a little disappointing but otherwise a great tool to have around.
